Deception | Veiled Perspectives is a speculative design trend developed during my CMF Design Master’s at Poli.Design, founded by Politecnico di Milano. This concept challenges conventional perception by embracing hyperphysical experiences—where surfaces, colors, and materials shift with light, movement, and perspective. Rooted in the global drivers of Connectivity and Individualization, it fosters playful and interactive environments that encourage users to become more mindful and present in their surroundings. Veiled layers, unexpected transparencies, and tactile contrasts invite curiosity and self-reflection, making space not just something we inhabit—but something we engage with. At its heart, Veiled Perspectives is about identity through ambiguity—where what’s hidden is just as meaningful as what’s revealed.
