Laurence Breton Gallery

Inspired by Laurence Breton’s fascination with the manipulation and the breakdown of raw materials, the Lawrence Breton Gallery vision is to take light as a natural component to define the precession of each situation. Lighting can bring an emotional value to architecture as it helps create an experience for those who occupy the space. Upon entry, one is faced with the grand spiral staircase that is exposed from the gallery’s skylight/ light-well infusing natural daylighting into the space itself and, at night, copper wire lighting to really extenuate the rhythmic pattern of the stairs. To expand more, the staircase has a rhythmic pattern of each step growing size as approaching the upper floors. The precession of the grand stairs automatically creates an automatic circular flow of having the program in a specific order on how the visitor approaches each gallery
